Emmanuel Church is purposefully committed to the service and mission of our own community of Burbank as well as the greater Los Angeles County region.  Emmanuel effectively utilizes their facilities, resources and people to offer varied assistance to those in need, regardless of their affiliation or membership in the church.

The Care and Compassion Ministries were established to provide practical, spiritual, physical and emotional support to those who are in need and are less fortunate.  These ministries include:

The Lord’s Kitchen
On the first Saturday of each month, a delicious meal is prepared and served with love to preserve the dignity of the homeless and hungry in our community.  Clothing is also made available to our guests.  As a result of this service, relationships develop that lead to further spiritual and practical support.

Lydia’s Closet
Emmanuel maintains a food and clothing bank in order to provide some basic essentials for those who are temporarily without.  Regular donations are collected on the first Sunday of each month.  Volunteers are always welcome and needed to sort and prepare the clothing, food and toiletry items that we provide for our guests.

Spectrum Ministry to Mexico
Emmanuel members travel to Mexico on the first Thursday of every month to minister to the poor and needy through Spectrum Ministries. Service includes distributing food and clothing, bathing children, providing hair cuts, making various repairs.
